Contract: 12 month Fixed Term/ Secondment Opportunity (Maternity cover)

Grade 7- 42,324 - 46,512per annum subject to final confirmation

The London Borough of Havering is looking to recruit a

Brokerage Officer

to develop and implement systems and processes to produce accurate, clear and robust financial information with direct links to service performance and activity.


If successful in your application for the role of

Brokerage Officer

, London Borough of Havering, you will/will be:


Deliver robust and detailed reconciled performance forecasting information in relation to budget forecasting - activity related to spend Ensure appropriate service based systems are regularly reconciled to the Council's core accounting system and any discrepancies are resolved in a timely fashion Ensuring recording of all financial commitments on ContrOCC are accurate for budget purposes and to inform the Group Finance manager of any anomalies and likely impacts on the budgets. To work closely with service teams, JCU, finance teams and education colleagues to ensure value for money and that financial and contractual processes are correctly followed. Prepare monthly financial monitoring reports showing projection of expenditure or income to year end for the Service Manager Building and promoting successful partnership working across agencies to deliver more cost effective and valued services, liaising and working closely with finance colleagues across the Finance Service to develop best practice and to deliver integrated professional finance services that enable service budget managers to meet their service delivery targets and business plans.
