Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Building Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist skilled tradespeople, help prepare and maintain work sites, and carry out general labouring tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Assist tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, bricklayers, plasterers, etc) with various tasks.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
Prepare work areas by cleaning and setting up materials.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Follow health and safety regulations and wear necessary protective gear.
Perform site clean-up and waste disposal as required.
Carry out manual excavation, mixing concrete, and other physical labour tasks.
Transport materials and supplies to different work areas.
Assist in measuring, cutting, and assembling building components.
Skills & Requirements
Previous experience in construction or a similar labouring role is advantageous but not required.
Physically fit and capable of performing heavy lifting and demanding tasks.
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
Punctual, reliable, and hardworking attitude.
Willingness to learn and take on various duties as needed.
Driving license (desirable but not mandatory).
Eligible to work in the UK.
