Job Description

To carry out Inspection of properties to identify pre install suitability of energy efficiency measures and carry out building testing services for the following measures

Cavity wall insulation Loft Insulation Solid Wall measures Room in Roof Insulation Underfloor Insulation Park Homes Insulation
Carry out testing services such as, but not limited to, background ventilation, thermography and thermal performance testing to help identify and improve building performance and scope ventilation requirements

Responsibilities:



To carry out pre-inspections for properties which have been submitted through the ISA platform, and complete comprehensive reports following the inspection identifying a pass, fail or requirement for remediation Carry out efficient testing including, but not limited to, Background ventilation testing Air Tightness Borescope inspection Heat3D HTC Thermography Ensure all records of inspection and testing are uploaded and data logged Keep up to date with developments and changes to inspection and testing through reading relevant materials, attending meetings and training Ensure any test equipment is maintained and is appropriate for use by carrying out status and visual checks Work in a safe manner ensuring your own and that of the public and members safety is upheld at all times.

Administration:



Carry out planning, where necessary and maintain your diary to maximise productivity. Undertake admin duties related to inspection and testing e.g. assisting with bookings, allocation if required Effectively detail and feedback on reporting outcomes

Improvements and Change:



Follow all The IAA CS Procedures and processes relevant to own role. Identify when changes and updates are required, raising these promptly with the department manager When required take responsibility for projects and making change happen, overcome barriers and ensure objectives are achieved Assist on producing work instructions and procedure when required.

Communication/Relationships:



Communicate and work closely with managers and colleagues, building a team which supports each other and The IAA CS goals

Keep up to date with new development and changes at The IAA CS and across the CIGA group

Support The IAA CS goals and business objectives

Knowledge, Skills and experience:



Level 3 in Domestic Energy Assessment Level 4 in Retrofit Assessment Background Ventilation Testing and Air Tightness qualification Knowledge of retrofit, testing and building assessment. Effective Communicator with strong organisational skills. Working Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, Power-point. Flexible attitude towards work and working hours. Able to demonstrate occupational competence in the insulation and construction sector. Willingness to travel within the UK and spend nights away from home when business needs dictate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 36,500.00-38,000.00 per year
