Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Services Engineer (Electrical) to join our facilities team at Atria Watford. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of building systems through planned preventative maintenance and prompt resolution of faults and repairs.
Main Responsibilities
Carry out PPM tasks in accordance with the HVAC specification and maintenance schedules
Respond to reactive maintenance requests and manage call-outs effectively
Diagnose and repair faults across a range of building services systems
Ensure compliance with company and site-specific health and safety procedures
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all works undertaken
Attend site emergencies as required, including outside of regular working hours
Work in plant rooms and at heights where necessary (full access equipment and PPE provided)
Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition
Collaborate with management and colleagues to support contract performance
Essential Qualifications and Experience
City & Guilds Electrical Installation/Maintenance
IEE 18th Edition (including A2:2022 updates)
Proven experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a facilities or building services environment
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with systems such as fire alarms, BMS, switchgear, HVAC, pumps, and ventilation
Competent in working with 3-phase electrical systems
IPAF 3a & 3b certification
Desirable Skills and Certifications
C&G Inspection & Testing
Health & Safety qualifications
Knowledge of water treatment, plumbing, generators, air conditioning, and sprinkler systems
Familiarity with BMS controls and fault diagnostics
Basic IT proficiency and report writing
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
