Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while ensuring a high standard of service. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to maintain the vehicle in good working condition.

Duties

Safely drive the bus along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes and schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bus interior. Address any passenger concerns or queries in a professional manner. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, particularly those with mobility challenges. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle reliability. Keep accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that occur during transit.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for bus operation. Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor repairs as needed. Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with passengers and colleagues. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as required. A commitment to safety and customer service excellence is essential.
