Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with experience in fabrication, welding, and equipment repair. This role involves maintaining and repairing a variety of buses, ensuring optimal operational efficiency. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Duties



Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Repair and troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and assembly techniques Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform repairs or modifications Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used Assist with the installation of new equipment or machinery upgrades Perform heavy lifting when required to move or position equipment safely Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs

Experience



Proven experience in mechanical repair, fabrication, welding, soldering, electrical systems, or related fields Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams Hands-on experience working with heavy machinery Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Knowledge of equipment assembly, repair procedures, and safety protocols Prior experience in a maintenance or workshop environment is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-21.25 per hour
