Assistant Business Administrator

Job location: A428 Main Site Offices, A428 St Neots Bypass, Wintringham, St Neots, PE19 6FL

The A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet is a \xc2\xa3750 million improvement scheme commencing main construction in 2023 and with an open to traffic date of 2027. The scheme involves the creation of a new three tier junction at the existing Black Cat roundabout, over 10 miles of new dual carriageway along with 17 structures to be created.

As a Business Administrator Assistant on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet, you will support our Internal Communications, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Social Value teams. This role has the potential to be influenced by your passions and interests and to have a real and positive impact on our project team.

What you\'ll do:

  • Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will be processing and managing relevant data and information
  • General administrative duties, for example, sending out emails to the wider project, updating our intranet, updating distribution lists and many other tasks as required
  • You will be asked to help with compiling our project newsletter, helping to gather good news stories and gain an understanding of what channels of communication there are on the project
  • You will report into our Internal Communications Manager and this will be your main area of work, but you will also be asked as needed to provide support to the wider EDI, Social Value & Integration teams, actively taking part in social value & integration initiatives (like supporting with local school and college events) and providing administrative support when required.
  • Promoting Inclusion and Diversity across all aspects of project delivery and role modelling the right behaviours on the project.

  • Ability to learn to process, input, transfer and interpret data.
  • Ability to learn to work effectively in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint (training can be provided)
