HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

As a Business Analyst at SmartSearch, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic transformation and service innovation. You will work across business units to define, analyse, and deliver change initiatives that align with our growth ambitions and operational excellence goals. This role is ideal for a proactive, adaptable, and collaborative individual who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

VARIED DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead & support the definition and delivery of change initiatives from discovery through to implementation. Collaborate with Stakeholders and Project Managers to agree scope of projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to define, prioritise, and trace requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Produce high-quality artefacts including process maps, user stories, UAT testing scenario's, acceptance criteria, and business cases. Champion the Agile BA Framework and contribute to the continuous improvement of BA practices at SmartSearch. Facilitate workshops, retrospectives, and lessons learned to drive engagement and learning.
Support governance activities including risk identification, reporting, and quality assurance.

Enterprise & Solution Architecture:

Align requirements with architectural standards and transformation goals.
Professional Techniques

Stakeholder Analysis & Strategy:

Identify, engage, and manage stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.

Investigation & Requirements Engineering:

Use interviews, workshops, and observation to elicit and document high-quality requirements.

Requirements Modelling & Validation

: Apply modelling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML) and validate outputs with stakeholders.

Business Process & Data Modelling:

Map current and future state processes and data flows to support solution design.

Idea Generation & Visualisation:

Use design thinking and visual tools to explore and communicate innovative solutions.

Gap Analysis & Benefits Management:

Identify gaps between current and desired states and define measurable benefits.

Project Management & Agile Delivery:

Support Agile ceremonies, write user stories, and collaborate with delivery teams to ensure iterative value delivery.
