Join Supplytrain - a not-for-profit organisation that employs apprentices on behalf of small businesses - making it as easy as possible for employers to invest in young people and help them start their careers.



This is a great, flexible opportunity for someone with some

previous bookkeeping experience

that is also happy to pick up admin and marketing tasks that help young people start, sustain and succeed at work.

Hours and tasks below are negotiable on how much time you have available. However, financial tasks are required to be covered.

Pay is dependent on experience.

What you'll do


As Business and Bookkeeping Support, you'll:

Finance:

+ Check timesheets and holiday bookings for accuracy
+ Run payroll
+ Invoice clients

Administration:

+ Be the first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries.
+ Organise virtual files and keep our CRM database up to date.
+ Book travel and accommodation for team members.

Marketing:

+ Create and send newsletters using email marketing tools.
+ Draft and upload social media posts to promote our work.
+ Use AI tools to help write blog content and case studies.

Special projects - Apprenticeship Ambassador Network:

+ Link Apprentice Ambassadors to schools and careers shows
+ Order and send marketing collateral to Apprentice Ambassadors
+ Support report writing and minute taking of Apprentice Ambassador meetings.




Person Specification:




You

do need

prior bookkeeping and office experience.

Ideally you will have used Xero before to raise invoices

.
Alongside this prior experience we're also looking for someone who is:
+ Organised and reliable, with a positive "can-do" attitude.
+ Confident using basic IT tools like Word, Excel and a CRM.
+ Great written English and ability to send well-crafted professional emails.
+ Friendly persona and happy to call employers, apprentices and schools.
+ Interested in helping young people and making work fairer for everyone.




Training and support:




You'll be given support from the friendly Supplytrain team to help you settle in. There is also the opportunity to turn this job into an apprenticeship, where you'd gain formal qualifications alongside real-world experience. We want to work with the right person to plan the job and support they need.
