Drive growth and build key partnerships across the legal sector
Are you a commercially minded relationship-builder who thrives on creating opportunities, growing accounts and making a real impact in the legal education sector? We're looking for a Business Development Account Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you'll focus on generating new business and nurturing long-term client partnerships. You'll be at the forefront of widening our reach across law firms, in-house teams and public-sector organisations, promoting our full portfolio including professional development, trainee and apprenticeship programmes, and our SQE pathways.
You'll manage a portfolio of key accounts, support product innovation through market insights, and collaborate closely with colleagues across the University to ensure we're delivering programmes that truly meet client needs.
This role adopts a
hybrid
approach spending some time from home and the other from any of our UK ULaw campuses; Birmingham, Bristol, London Bloomsbury, London Moorgate, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham.
As our Business Development Account Manager

you will:
Business Growth
Secure new business and drive revenue growth in line with agreed annual targets.
Convert prospects into long-lasting partnerships with commercially viable terms.
Conduct sector reviews and propose new opportunities to extend our reach and influence.
Client Relationship Management
Build, strengthen and expand relationships with new and existing clients across the legal sector.
Hold regular account meetings and keep clients engaged with relevant programme and student-related updates.
Share client feedback to support continuous improvement and new programme development.
Leadership & Representation
Act as an ambassador for ULaw, representing the University professionally in all client and industry interactions.
Translate organisational priorities into clear business development activities and outcomes.
Is this you?:
Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to influence, negotiate and close opportunities.
Ability to understand complex programme offerings and translate them into compelling commercial solutions.
Excellent presentation, planning and organisational skills.
A relationship-driven approach with strong emotional intelligence.
Proven experience in business development and/or key account management within professional services, ideally with knowledge of the legal services sector
Willingness to travel nationwide and work flexibly as needed.
The closing date for the role is 4th December 2025. With interviews likely to take place w/c 8th and 15th December.
