KN Subcontractor Ltd is a small, family-run construction business specialising in concrete finishing and groundwork. We are growing and looking for someone to help expand our client base and secure new contracts.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated individual to help our business grow by
finding new contracts and opportunities in the construction sector
. This is a flexible, project-based role, so tasks may vary depending on opportunities available. Your work will have a direct impact on the growth of our business.
While most work can be done remotely, the successful candidate will be expected to
meet at least once a month in person or via Zoom (video call)
to review contracts, discuss progress, and plan next steps. The frequency may increase depending on progress and workload.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and approach potential clients, contractors, and construction sites
Research and apply for tender and subcontracting opportunities, including using
construction union websites
and council tender portals
Support proposal and bid writing, ensuring submissions are professional and accurate
Build long-term business relationships with clients and partners
Communicate effectively with site managers and project teams
Keep organised records of opportunities, deadlines, and client contacts
Attend
monthly review meetings
, either in person or via Zoom, with the possibility of more frequent meetings depending on progress
Requirements / Skills
Experience or strong interest in construction, business development, or sales
Knowledge of
construction union websites, bid writing, and tender applications
Confident in networking and building professional relationships
Motivated, independent, and target-driven
Excellent
communication, English, and organisational skills
Competent with IT tools such as Excel, Word, and email
