We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Business Development Assistant to help us grow our client base and strengthen relationships with existing customers. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with early experience in sales, marketing, or customer service who wants to develop their career in a supportive, professional environment. The role has potential for growth and would suit an individual with good organisational skills, enthusiasm and drive.

Job Purpose: To contribute to the smooth running of the business development function and to raise the profile of the company. To handle incoming enquiries, arrange sales meetings for Directors to attend, generate proposals and to manage the sales pipeline and ZOHO (CRM) system. To assist with the identification of tender opportunities and to assist with the completion of tenders. To assist with outreach activity in order to attract new business.

Main Tasks & Duties:

Handle enquiries and arrange sales meetings for Directors to attend. Generate proposals. Follow up proposals. Maintain accurate records on ZOHO - CRM. Researching prospects and generating leads. Managing the end-to-end sales process through specific software programs. Generating sales related reports. Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings. Generation of business development/sales information required for management reports. Assist with marketing activities as required. Contribute ideas to improve sales and marketing processes. Any other reasonable business request.
Skills & Experience:

Some experience in a sales, marketing, or business support role (B2B preferred). Confident communicator -- comfortable speaking to clients by phone, email, and in person. Well-organised, with good attention to detail and follow-through. Able to work independently as well as part of a small, collaborative team. Familiar with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (or similar tools). An interest in quality, safety, or sustainability is desirable however training will be provided. Driving licence and access to a car.
