The Business Development Assistant's primary focus is to leverage our CRM database within the housebuilder sector by collaborating closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities, arrange appointments, and cultivate strong client relationships. You will proactively research and contact prospective developer clients while ensuring that all information is kept accurate and up to date. Effective management of client data within our Salesforce CRM system is essential to this role.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Liaise with Marketing and the Sales Team to develop and create opportunities with new and existing housebuilders and Landscape Architect customers.
Research new housebuilder sector businesses, leads, and opportunities using all available tools and services to identify and secure prospective clients. Document on our CRM system and progress using campaign codes.
Efficiently progress existing opportunities with timely follow-up calls and emails.
Follow up on housebuilder sector marketing campaigns and dedicated events to generate prospect leads by telephone, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
Take full ownership of housebuilder sector data management (and the CRM database), including maintaining and communicating agreed data standards, ongoing data cleansing, data transformation and loading, and regular monitoring of data quality.
Increase the activity of the sales team in the field by securing high-quality face-to-face appointments with clients through nurturing contacts and leads.
Answer all incoming calls and manage Live Chat channels.
Support the day-to-day processes and administration of the marketing and sales departments.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

Experience of outbound calls in the construction sector

Hours of work
36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am - 4.00pm on Friday with 1 hour for lunch.
