Are you a results-driven sales professional with experience in the
manufacturing or engineering industry
? Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new sales opportunities and expand their customer base.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company, offering the flexibility to
manage your own diary, identify new business opportunities, and build long-term client relationships
across the UK.
Key responsibilities:
Research and identify potential new customers in the manufacturing and engineering sector
Independently schedule and manage appointments
Develop strong relationships with engineers and buyers
Communicate effectively across all levels, from small engineering firms to large corporate companies
Plan and manage your own weekly diary
Write detailed reports following customer visits
Drive sales and grow new business opportunities
About You:
Proven experience selling to engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication companies
Knowledge of the steel industry is advantageous; understanding technical drawings is a plus
Current, clean driving licence
Computer literate
Flexible with hours depending on appointments
Self-motivated with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
