The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Executive to help support ebi in meeting our ambitious growth plans. Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with IFAs, Platforms and IFA networks.
The Business Development Executive will report directly to the Head of Business Development. Please note that remote working is possible with this position.
ebi is a Discretionary Fund Manager that runs evidence based, passive investment portfolios on behalf of Independent Financial Advisers. Based in Walsall, we have been working with financial advisers from around the country since 2010, having grown to now manage nearly 4.5 billion in assets.
We've been growing rapidly over the past years, thanks to our unique offering of factor-based portfolios, passive, ESG (Ethical, Social, Governance) screened, combined with our innovative and proprietary technology and applications.

Duties Include:
Creating highly qualified meetings for BDMs through a consultative approach.
Developing a pipeline of future prospects by understanding their business needs and cycle.
Building relationships with financial adviser firms. Increasing rapport and market intelligence at every touch point.
Signing adviser clients and working with them as customers to look after their clients and business whilst growing company AUM.
Raising awareness of brand through conversation, email and social media.
Utilising a CRM to pro-actively move prospects through the sales pipeline with maximum sales velocity from cold call to placing of clients.
Actively managing client relationships, taking responsibility for day-to-day project management and delivery of targets
Lead sales meetings to bring on new clients and support close sales once embedded
Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services
Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to develop and improve the business
Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
Formulate strategic and operational objectives together with the Head of Business Development

About you:
The role would suit a candidate with a proven track record in generating relationships within the IFA space, or looking to take the next step in their career towards this goal.
Strong academic background with numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills
Personal drive and integrity to deliver results within tight deadlines
Personable team player with the ability to create confidence and trust with both colleagues and clients
Commitment to high quality standards and a detail-oriented approach
Technical investment knowledge across asset classes is advantageous
Motivated to work using own initiative
Relevant professional qualification (CII/Pfs Level 4 Qualified is ideal)
