Business Development Executive
to support the growth of our parent company, subsidiaries, and clients.
Job Purpose
This role is central to driving the growth strategy of Centurion Staunch and its ecosystem. You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing sector-specific strategies, nurturing client relationships, and collaborating closely with internal teams to convert prospects into long-term revenue streams.
You will work across multiple sectors and act as a business catalyst--helping us expand our services in the private, public, and voluntary sectors across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Market Research & Lead Generation
Conduct in-depth market analysis across all sectors (healthcare, IT, events, HR, and training) to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
Generate high-quality leads through proactive outreach: cold calls, LinkedIn networking, email campaigns, business expos, and local authority contacts.
Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and partnership opportunities across public and private domains.

Business Acquisition & Growth Strategy
Develop and implement bespoke growth strategies for each sector and service line.
Create compelling business cases and ROI models tailored to potential clients and commissioners.
Collaborate with the Director and senior stakeholders to support tender submissions, funding proposals, and investment pitches.
3.
Client Relationship Management
Manage existing client accounts and ensure service delivery aligns with expectations.
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, including NHS contracts, council partnerships, and private sector clients.
Organise and attend meetings with startup clients and subsidiaries to understand their development needs and offer tailored support.
4.
Subsidiary and Startup Engagement
Support the business development needs of Centurion's subsidiary brands and trading names.
Offer consultation and hands-on support to startup clients in identifying customer segments, marketing strategies, and operational growth.
Develop joint growth initiatives across the parent company and its subsidiaries to maximise group performance.
5.
Bid Management & Proposal Development
Lead the preparation of tenders, expressions of interest, and capability statements.
Write, review, and submit competitive proposals to local authorities, NHS trusts, corporate clients, and care commissioning groups.
Work with marketing and compliance teams to ensure proposals align with sector regulations (CQC, ISO, GDPR).
6.
Marketing, Networking, & Representation
Represent Centurion Staunch and its subsidiaries at conferences, local authority business events, expos, and partnership forums.
Support the marketing team with content creation, social media promotions, and service brochures.
Participate in webinars, presentations, and sector events to raise the profile of the company.
7.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor KPIs for lead conversion, sales performance, and revenue contribution.
Maintain accurate records on the company CRM system and provide weekly/monthly reports to the Head of Business Development.
Track market conditions, competitor activities, and policy changes affecting each service line.
Person SpecificationEssential Criteria
Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial consultancy
Strong understanding of any of the following: healthcare, HR, event management, IT, training or consultancy services
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, and CRM platforms
Experience preparing business proposals and bids
Ability to work independently and across multidisciplinary teams
Willingness to travel across the UK for meetings and events
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience working with or within a startup or scale-up
Understanding of NHS or local authority commissioning and procurement processes
Knowledge of CQC-regulated services and public sector compliance
Degree or qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, Healthcare Management or similar
Experience in cross-sector business development roles
