OVERVIEW OF ROLE





You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and generating leads by making outbound calls to perspective clients to schedule high-quality appointments for the Business Development team. This is a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by expanding our client base and promoting our suite of payment and foreign exchange services.

RESPONSIBILITIES





1.

Lead Research and Identification



Conduct market research to identify potential customers and target markets. Utilise online tools, databases, and social media platforms to source and qualify leads.

2.

Outreach and Engagement



Initiate contact with potential leads through email, phone calls, and social media. Develop and maintain effective communication to build relationships with prospective clients.

3.

Lead Qualification



Evaluate leads based on predefined criteria to ensure quality and relevance.
Conduct initial discussions to understand client needs and determine suitability for products/services.

4.

Database Management



Maintain an organised and up-to-date database of leads and prospects. Track interactions, update contact information, and document progress in CRM systems.

5.

Collaboration with Sales Teams



Work closely with the sales team to transfer qualified leads and support the sales pipeline. Provide detailed insights and feedback to aid in sales strategies and decision-making.

6.

Customer Relationship Building



Nurture leads through follow-ups and provide necessary information to guide them through the sales funnel. Address enquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance the customer experience.

7.

Market Trend Monitoring



Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging markets. Use insights to refine lead generation strategies and tactics.

8.

Compliance and Data Security



Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR) during lead generation activities.

Maintain confidentiality and security of prospect data.

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE




Proven experience in lead generation, cold-calling, or a similar outbound sales role, preferably in the financial services,
payments or FX industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Familiarity with CRM tools and lead management system. Knowledge of the payments or foreign exchange industry is a plus but not essential. Ability to handle objections and provide thoughtful responses to potential client concerns.
