As part of a restructuring of the business to adapt to changing trading conditions and a refreshed product roadmap, TSL is looking to recruit an inside sales focused Business Development Executive to play a key role in driving the next phase of growth of the global business. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new qualified leads in to the global TSL sales funnel through representing the entire range of products and services, ultimately contributing to new growth of profitable business revenues, achieving sales objectives, and the influencing of product specifications in prospects project planning including tender process (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
This will be achieved through:
Researching, targeting and developing high-quality relationships across multiple departments within new accounts across industries and regions agreed as priority focus areas from time to time;
Resurrecting existing 'cold' accounts; o Cross- and up-selling into existing accounts;
Key Responsibilities:
New business generation - specifically feeding the sales funnel with qualified leads for follow-up and conversion.
Proactive in going the extra mile to generate and develop sales growth, meeting assigned targets for profitable lead generation translating into sales revenue volume, strategic and individual objectives
Establish & develop productive, professional relationships with key personnel
Achieve technical and application knowledge on all product lines
Be a high-performing team player by proactively involving relevant personnel to develop relationships to achieve objectives. (e.g. sales operations, customer delivery team inc. technical pre-sales and technical support, product management, marketing)
Work with marketing and other relevant departments to optimise our knowledge and understanding of relevant market verticals, industry trends & to identify new market potential.
Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customers' needs on an on-going basis.
CRM proactive use to mine data, develop accounts & contacts, opportunity detail, timely accurate forecasts.
Maintain live CRM data accurately
Report and present quarterly goals aligned to overall company and personal objectives.
Be an ambassador for the Company, promoting a positive image both internally & externally
Key Skills/Attributes
Essential
Hunter -
minimum 3 years' experience in sales above entry level.
Highly results and performance driven
Have excellent communication skills with comfort and indeed preference to go with telephone first
Excellent B2B sales presentation and enquiry skills with demonstrable sales performance achievements
Degree level education or relevant professional qualifications
Commercial acumen - e.g. an understanding of COGS, Gross Margin and FX
Excellent time management
Excellent English Language oral/written communication with confident presentation skills
Experience of working in high pressured sales environments
Can do attitude, enthusiasm & high energy
Detail oriented, high level of accuracy, well organised, PC literate.
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a cross-functional team.
CRM experience
Knowledge of Broadcast, Pro Audio/Video or complementary industry(ies)
Desirable
Technical understanding of broadcast technology, production processes, workflows and especially control & monitoring solutions
Knowledge/Relationships with relevant markets and customers
Understanding of existing TSL products and broadcast workflow
