Overview


We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong supplier relationships, and negotiating deals to bring high-quality Asian products to more homes in the UK.

Responsibilities



Identify and secure new business opportunities, including partnerships with suppliers and distributors of Asian products. Develop and implement strategies to expand the supermarket's customer base and increase sales revenue. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive opportunities in the Asian grocery market. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, wholesalers, and community organisations. Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement of quality products. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and initiatives to attract customers. Monitor business performance, prepare reports, and present insights to management for decision-making. Attend community events and trade shows to promote the supermarket and identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications



Proven experience (10+ years preferred) in business development, operations, or F&B management--preferably within Southeast/East Asian food environment. Strong understanding of Asian market dynamics, consumer preferences, and trading practices. Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams, supply chains, and large-scale restaurant or retail operations. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills. Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field. A background in Tourism Management with relevant experience in food and beverage or retail sectors is also welcome. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Thai language skills are a plus. Open to relocation and flexible to travel as required.
