As Business Development Manager, you will seek out, develop and grow commercial revenue streams which drive profit growth for ODEON, through business to business (B2B) channels & partnerships including advertising, sponsorship and corporate ticketing. This role demands a highly proactive sales professional with exceptional relationship-building capabilities, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen. You will be skilled at maintaining and expanding long-term partnerships while also identifying and capitalising on new opportunities across untapped sectors.
Please note that this role is a fixed term position for a period of up to 9 months.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop & implement sales initiatives focused on growing ODEON UK's profit, while supporting the wider international Group business where relevant
Lead the nurturing and development of strong, long-term B2B relationships across existing clients and partners
Identify and target partnership opportunities in new sectors where ODEON does not currently have an active presence
Drive new B2B business opportunities across a range of products including, but not limited to, Corporate tickets, private screenings, and conferencing
Collaborate with the Commercial Finance Business Partner to grow and optimise profitability in line with Group strategy
Work cross-functionally with IS and marketing teams to drive a customer-centric and agile sales approach
Seek out and implement new commercial initiatives, ensuring due diligence and alignment with business goals
Negotiate, secure, and manage Sponsorship and Partnership deals, ensuring value for all stakeholders
Key Skills:
Proven sales and account management experience, with a strong track record in relationship building and retention
Expertise in identifying and establishing strategic partnerships in new and emerging sectors
Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, and negotiation skills
Self-starter with strong commercial awareness and innovative thinking
Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally
Experience in partnership, promotional or sponsorship sales preferred
Lead by example in both behaviours and achievements
Confident and articulate communicator with excellent presentation skills
Proven stakeholder management and project management capabilities
