What You'll Do
As our Business Development Manager, you'll be the technical and strategic bridge between our Controls portfolio and high-profile clients including consultants, developers, contractors, and end users. You'll:
Drive demand creation from the specification stage of key projects
Identify vertical markets and develop tailored solutions
Deliver high-impact technical seminars, presentations, and product demos
Expand brand awareness across your territory
Build and nurture long-term relationships with prestigious customers
Collaborate with Field and Product Controls teams to meet business objectives
How You'll Do It
You'll leverage your in-depth knowledge of Controls products to:
Guide design and specification initiatives with consultants and developers
Liaise with R&D, Product Management, and Technical Support to align solutions with customer needs
Develop technical and marketing tools to support product adoption
Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotes, and contacts in approved databases
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a driven, independent contributor with:
Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in BMS
Proven systems design expertise and strong technical knowledge of Controls
Exceptional presentation and persuasion skills
Strategic planning and market research experience
High-level prospecting and stakeholder engagement capabilities
A proactive, results-driven mindset with a collaborative spirit
Willingness to travel across the UK
Unquestionable integrity and a can-do attitude
