We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence. Responsibilities
Sales Growth & New Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase sales and expand product categories.
Develop growth strategies that boost revenue, footfall, and overall customer spend.
Implement effective promotions, seasonal campaigns, and pricing strategies.
Supplier & Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and wholesalers.
Negotiate favourable pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
Source new products that meet customer demand and improve store profitability.
Market Research & Analysis
Conduct research on customer trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
Analyse sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Prepare performance reports and accurate sales forecasts for management.
Customer & Community Engagement
Engage with customers to understand their needs and improve satisfaction.
Support customer loyalty initiatives and store promotions.
Introduce new products and services that enhance the shopping experience.
Operational & In-Store Support
Oversee merchandising standards, product placement, and promotional displays.
Collaborate with operations, finance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of business plans.
Assist with inventory management, waste reduction, and efficient stock rotation.
Collaboration & Networking
Represent Bismillah Fresh Market Ltd at supplier meetings, food markets, and industry events.
Build strong partnerships to support long-term growth.
Develop growth strategies that boost revenue, footfall, and overall customer spend.
Implement effective promotions, seasonal campaigns, and pricing strategies.
Requirements
Previous experience in
business development, sales, retail management
, or a similar commercial role.
Experience working in
grocery retail, supermarkets, FMCG, or food supply chains
(preferred but not essential).
Proven ability to
increase sales, introduce new product lines, or grow customer engagement
.
Experience negotiating
supplier contracts, pricing, and delivery terms
.
Background in building and maintaining
supplier and customer relationships
.
Experience analysing
sales data, market trends, and customer behaviour
to create actionable business plans.
Qualifications Required
Strong knowledge of
business development, sales strategy, or retail operations
.
Excellent
communication, negotiation, and relationship-building
skills.
Good analytical ability with experience using
Excel or business reporting tools
Must have a gradate degree from UK establishment.
