Job Description

We're looking for a relationship-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our expert team at Veterinary IT Services, the UK's leading MSP focused solely on the veterinary industry.

This is not a traditional cold-calling sales role. As an Business Development Manager (BDM), you'll be the face of our business in the field, building trusted relationships with practice owners and managers, uncovering their challenges, and guiding them toward technology solutions that genuinely improve efficiency and patient care. You'll collaborate closely with our marketing team, vCIOs, and technical consultants to create proposals, manage opportunities, and support smooth handovers into onboarding.

Your mission is simple: help veterinary practices modernise their technology through consultative conversations, structured discovery, and a best-in-class sales process.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct onsite visits, discovery meetings, and relationship-building sessions with veterinary practices across the UK Manage the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed agreement Work with marketing to follow up on warm leads, campaign activity, and event-driven inquiries Maintain an accurate, well-managed pipeline within HubSpot, including forecasting and deal progress Present proposals clearly and confidently, ensuring clients fully understand the value and outcomes Develop territory and outreach plans to identify new opportunities within your region Represent Veterinary IT Services at industry conferences, events, and partner activities Build strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders through consultative conversations Collaborate with vCIOs, Centralised Services, and Projects to support smooth onboarding and client experience Provide feedback to leadership to evolve our sales process, messaging, and materials

You'll Need



2+ years' experience in field sales, business development, or consultative account management (B2B tech preferred) Strong relationship-building skills and confidence communicating with decision-makers Ability to quickly understand and articulate technical concepts in simple, outcome-focused language Experience managing a sales pipeline within a CRM (HubSpot preferred) Organised, proactive, and accountable, with the ability to work independently while keeping aligned with the wider team Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to practices and events
