BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - North West UK. Basic salary of 60k



On Target Earnings 75k including company car, profit share bonus and commission.

We're now seeking a Business Development Manager to help drive our continued expansion and strengthen our customer base across the UK.

THE ROLE:



Reporting to the General Manager in our Manchester office, you'll be a key driver of growth, bringing new clients on board while building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships to generate revenue and expand our market presence. You'll work with both new and existing customers to achieve sales targets and strengthen our position in the industry.

As Business Development Manager, you'll take ownership of promoting our full range of innovative packaging solutions. You'll proactively identify and follow up on leads, arrange meetings and demonstrations, and manage opportunities from initial contact to close. Working closely with sales support and marketing teams, you'll ensure every customer receives exceptional service while contributing to sales and marketing strategies that drive growth. Gathering client feedback, reviewing account plans, and monitoring the sales cycle, you'll help shape new markets, partnerships, and product initiatives, while striving to exceed business goals.

You will:

Be an ambitious, proactive Business Development Manager with a strong track record of success within a professional environment and experience of working in a team. Be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, in addition to strong influencing and networking skills. Possess a strong desire for success and be committed to do the work necessary to achieve results. Be passionate about the work you do, with energy and drive to motivate the team around you. Enjoy working to sales targets and goals, whilst being professional and courteous. Have experience of negotiating and closing sales in a fast-paced competitive marketplace. Be a self-disciplined, confident decision maker who takes full responsibility for their own performance. Be resilient with a positive 'can do' attitude to your job. Be able to plan and manage your own time effectively. Be willing to continually grow, develop and learn new skills. Excel at finding new opportunities and be able to rapidly grow new territories and markets. Be able to build rapport and relationships with ease and be confident in communicating with all levels of potential customers. Be a committed team player, with a high attention to detail. Be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships. Be able to hit agreed targets, and where possible, exceed them. Be able to actively listen, allowing you to analyse prospective customer needs, determine client requirements and ascertain potential solutions. Previous experience in the packaging industry is desirable.
