Overview:


We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. This field-based role is focused on driving growth through the acquisition of new customers and projects, identifying and developing opportunities across key sectors including education, healthcare, industrial, commercial offices, retail, and social housing.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding Steon's presence by targeting new clients, building relationships from the ground up, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:



Proactively identify, target, and secure new business within designated markets and territories. Develop and execute a strategic plan to build a strong pipeline of new opportunities. Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with architects, M&E consultants, contractors, local authorities, and end users to introduce Steon's lighting solutions. Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to client needs. Represent the company at exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and raise brand awareness. Work closely with internal sales and technical teams to ensure a smooth transition from project acquisition to delivery, maintaining oversight of client satisfaction and ongoing opportunities. Maintain accurate customer and prospect data in the CRM system and provide regular reports on pipeline, progress, and forecasts. Consistently achieve or exceed new business and revenue growth targets.

Ideal Candidate Profile:



Proven experience in business development or field sales within the lighting or electrical industry. A successful track record of winning new customers and securing project specifications within M&E consultancy, public sector, and end-user environments. Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities. Confident communicator with excellent presentation and relationship-building skills. Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented. A collaborative team player, committed to driving Steon's expansion and market share.

Remuneration:



A competitive remuneration package will be discussed during the interview process, based on experience and performance. The package includes a performance-related bonus structure designed to reward new business generation and sales growth, as well as a company car or car allowance.
