Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager with a Logistics / Transport client portfolio to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence backfilling our current fleet vehicles. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to organisational growth through strategic planning and effective sales techniques. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and experience in the Logistics / Transport industry with CRM software IT skills.

Duties



Develop and implement strategic plans to identify new markets and business opportunities in backfilling our current fleet operation across the UK. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to prospective clients Manage the sales pipeline using CRM software, ensuring accurate tracking of leads and opportunities Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that support business growth Negotiate contracts and close deals efficiently, ensuring mutual benefit for all parties Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the organisation's services

Experience



Proven track record in business development or sales roles within the Logistics / Transport industry Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms Strong understanding of sales processes, client relationship management, and negotiation techniques Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrable ability to develop strategic plans that align with organisational goals Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences Knowledge of market analysis tools and techniques is desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 65,000.00-70,000.00 per year
