Cavendish Northern Limited are a specialist mechanical and pipework contracting company seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge and a proven track record of winning work within construction, engineering and industrial services sectors.
Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities in mechanical and pipework contracting.
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and clients.
Develop and manage a pipeline of projects, from enquiry through to contract reward.
Work with estimating and project teams to prepare tenders and proposals.
Represent the company at meetings, site visits, and industry events.
What We're Looking For
Experience in business development or sales within mechanical and pipework contracting or related industries.
Strong knowledge of mechanical/pipework systems and contracting practices.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Commercial awareness and understanding of tendering processes.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Business (preferred, but not essential).
5+ years' industry experience.
Existing client network desirable.
Full UK driving licence.
