Medmin Ltd provides total practice management services to consultants in private practice, helping them focus on patient care while we manage the business side of their practice. Our services include administration, billing, finance, marketing and social media, and strategic growth support. We work with consultants across multiple specialties and partner with hospitals to improve efficiency, patient experience, and financial outcomes. As we scale, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate consultant recruitment, strengthen hospital partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a central role in expanding Medmin's footprint. You'll be responsible for identifying, attracting, and onboarding new consultants, while also managing commercial relationships with hospitals and partners. This is a strategic role that requires strong commercial awareness, a structured approach to business development pipelines, and the ability to report clearly and effectively on progress.
Key responsibilities include:
Identify, target, and onboard new consultant partners in the Midlands, with expansion into London and the South East.
Build and manage relationships with hospitals, negotiating commercial agreements and partnership terms.
Lead consultant recruitment campaigns, from initial contact to contract signing and onboarding.
Develop and manage a structured business development pipeline, tracking progress and reporting weekly/monthly KPIs.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts and input into operational planning.
Represent Medmin at national healthcare conferences, networking events, and industry forums.
Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for service expansion.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to align consultant recruitment with operational capacity and service delivery.
Your profile:
Degree in business, marketing, healthcare management, or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in business development, preferably within healthcare or professional services.
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and close deals.
Strong understanding of healthcare sector dynamics, ideally private practice or hospital operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Results-driven, with evidence of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
Proficient in managing business development pipelines and producing clear reports via CRM system.
Willingness to travel across assigned regions.
