Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham are currently looking for a driven Business Development Manager to drive growth, engagement and commercial success.
Business Development Managers at Practice Plus Group contribute to the development and delivery of the hospital's business development plans, ensuring alignment with our national growth objectives. The role is central to the hospital's external visibility, working collaboratively with consultants, GPs, insurers, corporates, and internal teams to deliver a consistently strong and patient-focused commercial proposition.
The role is full time 37.5 hours a week. You will predominantly be based on site however some travel to other Practice Plus Group services and potential referrers and partners will be necessary.###
What you'll be doing
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with the Head of Business Development and Insurer Relations to develop quarterly business development plans aligned with national and local strategic priorities.
Implement and execute business development plans, ensuring timely delivery of all actions and initiatives.
Agree and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect growth targets across all payor types.
Increase referrals across self-pay, PMI, and NHS pathways by proactively engaging with GPs, practice managers, optometrists, physiotherapists, community organisations, and corporates.
Build strong professional relationships within the local healthcare community and represent PPG at external meetings, events, and conferences.
Act as a key contact for existing and prospective consultants to support practice development and promotion.
Coordinate onboarding activities, including biography development, digital listing support, and local visibility campaigns.

Excellent commercial awareness and a proven track record of developing and managing long lasting relationships with stakeholders.
An interpersonal, analytical and proactive approach will distinguish you from the competition and ensure Practice Plus Group are the preferred choice for potential referrals.
The desire to influence positive change within the business will put you in good stead to be successful in this role.
You will ideally have relevant experience in the healthcare sector and a working knowledge of the healthcare economy.
A full UK driving license and flexibility to travel within the surrounding area will be necessary.
