SafeSite are excited to grow our leading and innovative CCTV department with the aid of an experienced and enthusiastic Business Development Manager.

This role will assist us improve the organisation's market position and achieve financial growth. To define long-term departmental strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals whilst maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions and to help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities


The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities may include:

New Business Development

Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business. Supporting the general sales team to push the CCTV product range to existing client base/key accounts. Conduct professional site surveys/proposals Convert incoming leads to sales Cold call as appropriate within our market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. Research and build relationships with new clients. Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/Principals. Plan approaches and pitches. Develop proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives. Participate in pricing the solution/service. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately. Present an image that mirrors that of the client.
Client Retention

Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. Work with internal colleagues to meet customer needs. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs. Regularly meet existing clients on site to ensure suitable solution is in pace, upsell new products and build relationship.
Business Development Planning

Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Management and Research

Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate. Research competitors and product ranges to stay competitive Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's sales management system. Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets. Work with internal staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
CCTV Department

Work towards increasing the department's Turnover and Profit Actively source other opportunities/cross sell within the sector Produce regular analysis of enquiries versus success Prospect for potential new customers Coach and mentor the team, share knowledge Work towards bringing departments together to better develop business in both areas Develop sound relationships with large Tier 1 customers Ensure that both the CCTV and sales teams are aware of ALL company products
This role will be field-based and will require long periods of driving, and occasional overnight stays, depending on the needs of the client.

Level of Knowledge & Experience



Essential

Proven experience in Business Development Use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel) Full Driving Licence Professional telephone, email, and communication etiquette
Advantageous

Experience in conducting site surveys as part of the quoting process for potential work. Working experience in CCTV products, services, installations and associated services. Experience using Syrinx software (Software similar to Carriage, SAP, Oracle and Radius)
