We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to grow Cathelco equipment and services in key markets. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a proven record in technical sales and business development who is ready to make a significant impact.


You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, identifying and converting new business opportunities, and driving revenue and profitability growth across our portfolio of systems, retrofits, spares, and services.

Key Responsibilities



Sales & Business Growth



Drive new sales while maximizing up-selling and cross-selling opportunities. Build and maintain a strong pipeline through prospecting, lead generation, and conversion. Manage RFQs, improve hit rates, and successfully negotiate and secure orders.

Market Development



Develop and execute market and territory growth strategies. Analyse market trends to identify opportunities and overcome obstacles. Establish new routes to market and strengthen Cathelco's competitive position.

Customer Engagement



Lead face-to-face customer meetings, presentations, and technical seminars. Represent Cathelco at exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums. Build and sustain long-term relationships with key decision-makers.

Performance & Reporting



Manage and support the performance of agents and distributors to ensure alignment with company objectives. Provide accurate and timely updates in SAP and CRM systems.

Skills & Experience



Experience



Minimum 3 years' experience in direct customer-facing business development. Proven track record in technical sales of engineered systems; maritime sector experience is highly advantageous.

Skills



Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels. A "hunter" mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and converting opportunities. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
