Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Chichester/Remote Reports To: Machining Operations Director

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong technical background in composite machining, particularly in patterns, moulds, jigs, and fixtures. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on industry experience who is passionate about developing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

oIdentify and pursue new business opportunities in composite machining, focusing on aerospace, automotive, marine, and industrial sectors.

oStrong expertise in patterns, moulds, jigs, and fixtures to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions.

oConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth areas and target customers.

oVisit prospective and existing clients to present capabilities, discuss projects, and build long-term partnerships.

oCollaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and alignment of proposals with manufacturing capabilities.

oDevelop and manage a robust sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts and reports to senior leadership.

oNegotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with customers.

oRepresent the company at trade shows, industry events, and technical conferences.

Qualifications & Experience:

oMinimum 5 years of experience in business development or technical sales within the machining/composites industry.

oDeep knowledge of CNC machining for composites, especially in the production of patterns, moulds, jigs, and fixtures.

oProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical environment.

oStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

oWillingness and ability to travel extensively to meet clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Skills:

oUnderstanding of CAD/CAM software and CNC machining processes.

oNetwork of contacts within aerospace, motorsports, Automotive and other relevant industries.

oExperience working with ISO or AS9100 quality standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 50,000.00 per year
