Job Overview


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing current customer contracts and securing new contracts. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities



Manage end-to-end quotation process, ensuring timely and transparent communication throughout the project cycle

Provide technical information to assist in creating cost estimates and quotes aligned with customer requirements Read technical drawings to be able to aid with manufacturing and quotes Be responsible for all planning aspects of the sales process including contract negotiation, account opening, terms & payment, spares/parts, program duration. Act as primary sales contact for new and existing Manufacturing customers daily Liaise with the Engineering department as required to establish correct technical specifications or to instigate engineering work to fulfil customer requirements. Take the lead regarding planning for and attendance of events such as trade shows, networking opportunities or seminars that would benefit promotion of JRM Advanced Engineering Field customer specific telephone enquiries and provide advice to customers on items such as product/technical issues for potential new customers. Development of network of relationships with all decision influencers within the target prospect. Continue scoping work in JRM's existing Advanced Engineering sectors and promote more preferred supplier status and Tier 1 development, including maintaining relationships with existing clients to continue annual contracts and business. To play an active role in achieving departmental objectives such as sales targets month on month. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time Compliance with all departmental H&S requirements Compliance, where appropriate with management, & environmental, systems, such as ISO 9001

PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION



Qualifications and Experience



Degree or equivalent in engineering or similar - desirable

Ability to negotiate and effectively close deals

C/4 or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths

Proven track record in Manufacturing within the Advanced Engineering industry is essential Previous experience (commercial and technical) within Engineering Sales Degree level intellect with demonstrable experience in selling mechanical /technical product. Some personal contacts(s) from within the Engineering / Automotive industry preferred Equally comfortable with both commercial and technical negotiations Must have proven negotiation skills Must be familiar with Automotive projects, milestones, procedures, gateways. Experience of working in a pressurised environment

Summary Terms & Conditions



Pension -

Upon joining the Company, you will be automatically enrolled, with contributions starting at three months.

Leave entitlement -

25 days per year plus statutory holidays (compulsory shutdown of three days at Christmas).

Notice period -

There will be an initial six-month probationary period, during which notice will be one week on either side. On successful completion of the probationary period notice will be one month.

Working hours -

08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 32,420.00-48,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
