One of R&M Electrical Group's branches, located in Aberdeen, are looking to employ a Business Development Manager for the Fife/Edinburgh region to join their team.

We formed in 1987, based out of a small industrial unit in Southampton (UK), with a focus on electrical distribution to local businesses. We've experienced considerable growth over the past 37 years. We now employ over 300 people in over 20 offices worldwide, catering to multiple markets. We partner with an extensive network of quality and trusted electrical manufacturers across the globe. Having access to such a diverse product range, which often exceeds safety standards, means that we can provide solutions for all electrical needs.

We supply the complete scope of electrical products from cables to lighting, containment, and much more. Our electrical knowledge, coupled with extensive supply chain management expertise, also extends to bespoke solutions, major project delivery, export management, MRO supply contracts, and value-added engineered solutions.

Salary:

Negotiable, depending on experience

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 8.00 am - 5.00 pm and Fridays 8.00 am - 4.00 pm (with one hour lunch break)

Main Duties:

Main responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Arranging business development meetings with prospective clients. Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs. Arrange business meetings with prospective clients. Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives. Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines. Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices. Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople.

Requirements:

Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role. Proven sales track record. Experience in customer support is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce). Excellent communications skills, in both verbal and written forms. Market knowledge. Communication and negotiation skills. Ability to build rapport. Time management and planning skills. BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field.
