Business Development Manager


Wholesale and Foodservice


Tetley


Part Time, Permanent


Salary: 17,304 per annum + 15% bonus + 34p per mile


Working: 22.5 hours per week: flexible days (Monday - Friday)


Location: Scotland - Ideal location is Glasgow/Edinburgh


As a Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of the Tetley Consumer Products brands, including the iconic Tetley, Good Earth and Teapigs ranges.


You'll be instrumental in developing and growing distribution within your area, and take real ownership of your region. You'll do this through growing new business, exploring new opportunities and closing distribution gaps, as well as being a brilliant ambassador for the Tetley Consumer Products range.


You will be:


Targeting Wholesale & Foodservice sales development personnel to gain access to new business opportunities
Strategic Depot calls to deliver identified / targeted opportunities OR to explore opportunity
Reactive engagement with teapigs independent end operators based on business need and the development of new independent leads
Wholesale Central Order attendance where required
Negotiation of Local Terms where applicable
Closure of distribution gaps in core range across account base
Identifying and recruiting new business in line with overall sales strategy
Engaging with multisite retailers / end operators to convert them to Tata Consumer Products core range
Investigating and potentially engaging with any new wholesale customer opportunities
Any required unspecified tactical activity based on business need
Attendance at targeted Trade Shows and Business development days (local & buying group level)
Annual Joint Business planning (plays particularly to foodservice and the larger CRG members)
Management and application of local trade budgets


You will have:


Experience in scouting and developing new business leads
The ability to spot new or missed opportunities within various scenarios and businesses
An understanding of wholesale and on trade sectors
Great communication skills
Excellent organisational skills, allowing you to own your territory
A passion to succeed and grow in role


We will offer you:


Basic salary of 17,304 (FT equivalent 28,800) per annum + 15% bonus opportunity based on KPIs
Mileage Paid @ 34p
