About Fundin
Fundin helps charities raise more money with less effort.
We've built an all-in-one grant platform combining AI-powered bid writing, a live funding database, and grant outcome tracking - so charities can focus on impact, not admin. We're a mission-driven startup supporting everyone from small grassroots organisations to large national charities.
We're now looking for a driven and personable Business Development Manager to help us scale our customer base and bring Fundin to thousands of nonprofits across the UK.
The Role
Your core focus will drive revenue with the support of the founder. You'll identify and engage the right prospects, manage follow-up, and ensure the sales pipeline is always moving.
This is ideal for a fundraiser looking for a new challenge or a BDM excited to grow a mission-led tech company from the ground up.
Your Responsibilities
As our first Business Development Manager, you'll take full ownership of the sales process from sourcing leads to closing deals and ensuring a smooth handover into onboarding You'll work closely with the founder to shape and scale our approach as we grow.
Lead generation
Identify and engage potential clients through personalised outbound outreach, including email, LinkedIn, and cold calling
Research and prioritise prospects to ensure high-quality targeting
Demos and sales calls
Own the full sales cycle: book, lead, and follow up on discovery calls and product demos
Understand customer needs, communicate value, and tailor conversations to move prospects through the funnel
Manage smaller deals and repeatable sales processes independently
Onboarding support
Provide light-touch support during the first 30 days of onboarding to ensure a smooth client experience
Act as a bridge between sales and delivery, helping new customers get value quickly and stay engaged
Gather and relay client feedback to improve the onboarding journey and reduce early-stage churn
Pipeline and CRM
Keep CRM fully up-to-date with lead and pipeline activity
Follow up persistently and proactively to keep deals moving
