Bon Appetit is growing and we're recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Sales team.

You will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the construction industry by securing new contracts and identifying growth opportunities. The primary focus will be on bringing in new contracts, while also nurturing relationships within existing projects.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, well-connected within the industry, and capable of strategically identifying and pursuing opportunities. The role is going to be the first of its kind, so this is your opportunity to shape how we win business, nurture relationships and drive growth in the future.

This is a hybrid customer facing role role, so you'll be between the head office in Marylebone - London, and customer sites.

What you'll be doing



Actively pursue new business opportunities with a focus on securing contracts for projects with a value 100 million+ Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry, including project directors, commercial directors, surveyors, and finance directors, both on-site and within client organisations Schedule and conduct your own face-to-face meetings with potential clients to discuss project requirements, present our services, and cultivate strong business relationships Identify new project opportunities and determine the appropriate contacts to initiate discussions Conduct site visits to construction projects - understand project requirements and to map out logistical aspects such as kitchen placements Prepare comprehensive proposals tailored to the specific needs of the prospect, outlining our capabilities, expertise and value proposition Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies and successful project delivery Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development activities, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize results and achieve revenue targets Manage and responding to incoming enquiries from the company's website, about our services for upcoming construction projects Stay updated with current developments and trends in the construction industry, regularly monitor news sources, trade publications, and industry reports

What we're looking for



Solid experience (ideally 3+ years) of business development, preferably within construction Experience managing a desk of existing and new business development Lead generation and prospecting via telephone, emails and site visits Demonstrable experience in negotiating terms of business with senior level stakeholders Experience in managing existing accounts as well as new business Confident in a customer facing environment and dealing directly with potential stakeholders Excellent interpersonal skills - confidence, rapport building and communication and problem solving Ability to work autonomously and manage your own time and client list Willingness to travel to sites and meet with clients (3 days office based, 2 days client visits) A good network within the construction industry, with established relationships among key stakeholders is highly desirable
