Overview


The Business Development Manager will develop the Company's business strategy in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. The post-holder will also seek opportunities to grow the business, expand services beyond current client groups, innovate, extend and enhance how we deliver care and support. The post-holder will facilitate the matching of referrals received from Local Authorities to available placements across the organisation. To consider the risks, needs and matching criteria and communicate effectively with Placements, Local Authorities and other external stakeholders.

To coordinate the end-to-end placement process between Local Authorities and Placements. To aid the growth of the company by introducing referrals for young people to suited placements who can meet the needs of the young person. To report to the relevant Managers on current vacancies and work as part an accountable team member to meet both individual and team targets. The Business Development Manager will represent the Company at meetings, planning events and within internal and external partnerships. The post-holder will be the lead officer for the maintenance and development of effective internal and external communications on behalf of the Company performance.

The role will have responsibility for co-ordinating and fulfilling the requirements of the day-to-day operations of the team.

Duties



To respond to business opportunities within the organisations core markets. Actively involved in the planning and presenting of tender documents, ensuring high quality bid writing. Evaluate the feedback from tender responses, and facilitate the learning from this within the section Tracking, coordinating and communicating young people's referrals. Dealing with initial enquiries from local authorities by both email and telephone, ensuring that all enquiries and referrals are dealt with in a professional and timely manner. Handling requests from third party referral sources and providing relevant information and data. Assembling information concerning young people's risk assessments, care plans and referral needs. Reviewing details and expectations of referral with the potential young people. Assisting the referrals in problem solving potential issues related financial or social barriers (e.g., request interpreters as appropriate, transportation services, etc.) Review details and expectations about the referral with the relevant team. Remind and communicate scheduled appointments and meetings to the relevant teams. Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure the young people's safety. Ensure completed and accurate referrals are provided. Reviewing referrals with Senior Management to ensure prior approval requirements are met, presenting the necessary information such as history, risk assessments, care plans etc. Identify and utilise cultural and community resources. Establish and maintain relationships with identified service providers and local authorities. Support and discuss Service Level costings. Identifying Safeguarding and/or well-being concerns highlighted in the referral or through the assessment process and liaising with the Company's Safeguarding Lead and Senior Management regarding any concerns. Identifying and accurately matching suitable referrals and sourcing appropriate placements. Attending Referral meetings and reporting on progress made, highlighting areas of concern or challenges faced, whilst providing solutions and alternative strategies Being fully compliant with all the Company's policies and procedures, ensuring that Safeguarding practices are implemented throughout every stage of the process.

Experience



Minimum 2 Years experience in business development within the care sector Strong understanding of software tools, particularly Salesforce, for managing client relationships. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results.

Pay: 32,000.00-38,000.00 per year
