Business Development Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Business Development Manager
to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, foster strategic relationships and drive growth across the Defence Maritime domain. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding SNC MS UK's market presence and aligning business development initiatives with the company's objectives. In addition, as we grow our export business will support and lead elements of our export business.

Business Development Manager
, you will be responsible for identifying new markets, building and maintaining customer relationships, and contributing to the company's growth through strategic planning and innovative thinking.
Key responsibilities
Strategic business development
: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Defence and related sectors to drive revenue growth.
Customer relationship management
: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, commercial clients, and industry partners.
Market analysis
: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
Proposal development
: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
Campaign planning
: Develop and maintain the Maritime account plan and execute against it supporting sustained growth.
Strategic partnerships
: Identify and develop partnerships that align with organizational goals and enhance market positioning.
Sales planning
: Develop and implement sales strategies, forecasts, and action plans to achieve business objectives.
Contract negotiation
: Lead negotiations to secure contracts, ensuring favorable terms for SNC MS UK.
Performance metrics
: Monitor and report on business development activities, maintaining accurate records and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
Industry engagement
: Represent SNC MS UK at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company and network with potential clients.
Collaboration
: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and marketing, to ensure successful delivery of projects and client satisfaction.
Person specification
Qualifications & experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience within large sales and Business Development).
5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in Defence, Aerospace, Maritime, or Engineering sectors.
Proven track record of securing new business and achieving sales targets.
Strong understanding of Defence procurement processes and government contracting.
Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Additional information
Competitive salary:
80,000.00 - 95,000.00 depending on experience.

Work schedule:
Full-time role based in Southwest with occasional travel to customer sites and the United States. Hybrid working is available on occasion.
