Business Development Manager (Full Time)



HistologiX is a trusted GLP & GCP compliant CRO with expertise in tissue-based biomarker analysis.

We help our clients visualise and understand how their drug or device is influencing key biomarkers at the cellular and tissue level. Working collaboratively, our experienced scientific team provides a bespoke service allowing our clients to make the most of our expertise in histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC) including multiplex immunofluorescence, in situ hybridisation (ISH) & cutting-edge digital image analysis (IA).



We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Team.

This role would suit a highly motivated individual with proven sales experience within the Life Sciences industry, preferably with experience selling contract research services to pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Experience in Histology and IHC is preferred, although training and support will be given on our services.

For all our roles, a client focussed approach with strong scientific expertise is key to our business.

Main Responsibilities



Direct responsibility for growth of HistologiX's sales by meeting defined revenue targets. Developing new Pharma/biotech/CRO clients. Working with clients to understand their technical requirements and generating accurate project proposals in a timely manner. Engage effectively with other teams within HistologiX to drive enquiries forward and provide clients with the information they need as efficiently as possible. Maintain up to date and accurate records within our CRM. Proactively seek out new opportunities for HistologiX products and services within new clients Undertaking client visits throughout the UK, Europe and USA. Manning the HistologiX stand at key conferences and attending networking events. Managing client's expectations with effective communication.

We would love to hear from you if you have:



A degree in Life Sciences, PhD preferred. Prior experience in a sales role with histology, immunohistochemistry, in situhybridisation and digital image analysis. Proven industrial experience in the biosciences sector and/or CRO space, with a working knowledge of management system standards e.g. GLP/GCP and ISO9001 2015. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to travel Internationally.
