About Solar Options for Schools
We are a social impact driven company with a mission to help society reach net zero faster by providing solar energy and decarbonisation education to schools.
We are looking for a passionate individual with excellent written and spoken
communication skills, a polite, caring and helpful attitude combined with impeccable attention to detail. Ideally you will have experience in power purchase agreements and have worked with schools and councils before.
We believe that schools have a role to pay to help us decarbonise faster. So, we fund energy and climate education opportunities using the sun. To that end, we help fund, develop and
manage solar panels on schools and provide energy and carbon education to
teachers, students and non-teaching staff.
We currently look after about two hundred schools internationally with solar and are working
to encourage thousands more. We need your help to bring on more schools and manage the growing number of inbound leads.
Our vision is to develop software, funding and education to enable up to 2,000
schools a week to go solar globally. Our website and mobile app allow students to learn about energy, carbon, climate change and they can even
develop a solar project themselves on their own schools.
What you'll do:
Qualify new enquiries via website, email and phone calls.
Develop and manage your own pipeline.
Send initial presentations and marketing materials to potential customers.
Annalise a schools electricity data and prepare offers, send offers once approved.
Follow up, deal with questions and further information requests to obtain verbal agreement. Then help and support the customer through the development and legal stages.
Communicate with clarity and purpose to persuade and convince others, promoting goals with conviction.
Collaborate with other areas of the business to enhance /streamline sales processes and customer satisfaction.
Build and nurture relationships with key industry influencers and strategic partners
Manage relationships with long-term opportunities e.g. Multi-Academy Trusts.
Analyse market trends to identify customer needs and new product potential.
What we're looking for:
Alignment with and enthusiasm for the company's objectives
Expertise in managing long-term sales funnels and converting leads into tangible results
Excellent communication and influencing skills on screen and in person
A results-oriented, self-motivated, hands-on person
Experience of sales that involve legal contracts, leases or similar
