Role Overview:
At PreAction, we are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive our growth and enhance our position in the energy brokerage sector.
In this key role, you will be pivotal in expanding our client base, managing our existing portfolio and advancing our business objectives.
You will focus on generating new business opportunities, onboarding clients, and achieving our revenue targets.
Your success will be measured by your ability to convert leads effectively, maintain strong client relationships, and achieve high client retention rates.
While these metrics will guide your performance, your overall contribution to our business growth and client success will be essential to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Existing Client Portfolio Management:
Engage with PreAction's portfolio of existing clients. Leverage this established base to maintain strong, ongoing relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further support and upselling.
Business and Lead Generation:
Identify and pursue high-value business opportunities and qualify leads within the UK energy brokerage sector. Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with energy brokers. Leverage your network to foster long-lasting partnerships and trust.
Client Needs Analysis:
Assess client needs and tailor PreAction's solutions to address specific challenges, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Client Engagement:
Conduct field visits and client meetings, delivering presentations that effectively showcase how PreAction's services meet their needs.
Market Analysis:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to capitalise on opportunities and mitigate risks.
Collaboration:
Work with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Provide feedback to refine service offerings.
Reporting and Performance Metrics:
Track and report on sales activities, client interactions, and progress towards targets. Monitor key performance metrics to drive business success.
Client Feedback Integration:
Collect and analyse client feedback to enhance PreAction's services. Collaborate with the product team to address concerns and improve service delivery.
Industry Representation:
Represent PreAction at industry events and networking opportunities to promote the company's brand and build industry connections.
Ideal Candidate
Industry Experience:
Demonstrated experience in an energy supplier or energy brokerage role, with a deep understanding of the UK energy market and broker operations.
Established Network:
Strong network of connections within the UK energy sector, with proven ability to leverage relationships for business development and client acquisition.
Sales and Business Development Expertise:
Track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and successfully managing client relationships.
Communication and Presentation Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in presenting complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
Client-Centric Approach:
Proven ability to assess client needs, tailor solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Self-Motivation and Initiative:
Highly motivated with a proactive approach, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a hybrid role.
Adaptability:
Flexible and able to balance field visits with office-based work, adapting to changing priorities and client needs.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical abilities to monitor market trends, competitor activities, and performance metrics to inform business strategies and decision-making.
