Role overview
This is a dedicated new business development role, focused exclusively on identifying, engaging, and converting new leads into sales opportunities. Free from the demands of account management, you'll be empowered to pursue fresh revenue streams and directly contribute to the strategic growth of UTAX and TA Triumph-Adler.
You'll be supported by the Head of Sales, with active collaboration from Marketing and Operations to ensure a smooth and professional sales journey.
Key responsibilities
Drive new business acquisition using both existing leads and self-generated prospects.
Use CRM tools (including the newly implemented 'New Leads' module) to manage and track opportunities effectively.
Build a strong pipeline by using existing programme leads and historic prospect data, particularly in the South/Southwest/M4 Corridor.
Align closely with Marketing to ensure sales campaigns are effective and lead conversion rates are maximised.
Conduct strategic market research to identify emerging opportunities and growth areas.
Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and develop tailored, client-focused proposals.
Confidently negotiate and close commercial agreements.
Work collaboratively with internal teams (Operations, Marketing, Sales) to ensure a seamless transition from prospect to client.
Represent UTAX and TA Triumph-Adler with professionalism and integrity to grow brand presence and awareness.
What you'll bring
Experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within a technology-driven environment such as Print, IT, Telecoms, or related services.
A strategic mindset and the ability to close deals through a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
Confident in identifying and developing cold leads into long-term business relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a bonus) and data-led sales strategies.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively to meet goals.
A proactive approach to professional networking (a strong LinkedIn presence is a bonus, not a requirement).
Ideally based in the South of England or Midlands, or happy to cover the M4 corridor.
