Business Development Manager - Events & Venue StrategySwindon | 32,000 Basic + Uncapped OTE (45K+)Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Our client is a dynamic and growing business known for delivering branded pop-up events, retail activations, and high-impact promotional experiences in Swindon. From high streets to major shopping centres, their campaigns captivate audiences and drive real engagement and sales.

They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to take the lead on growing the business through venue acquisition, relationship building, and strategic planning. This is a key commercial role for someone ready to influence the company's growth trajectory while playing a hands-on role in campaign delivery.

What You'll Be Doing



Business Development & Strategy



Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation. Develop and implement strategic growth plans aligned with company goals. Track and analyze KPIs to measure performance and inform decision-making. Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.

Sales & Venue Booking



Make outbound sales calls to landlords, venue operators, and shopping centre managers to secure high-traffic locations. Pitch campaign concepts, clearly communicating value, impact, and ROI. Negotiate commercial terms and ensure logistical requirements are met. Manage the end-to-end booking process, from initial outreach to contract execution.

Operational Support & Communication



Oversee daily office operations to ensure a productive and efficient working environment. Support onboarding of new team members and assist the sales team in achieving targets. Serve as the go-to point of contact for internal and external communications. Maintain accurate CRM records, reporting on conversations, bookings, and pipeline activity.

Events & Campaign Planning



Coordinate the planning and booking of internal and external events. Source and secure suitable venues aligned with campaign objectives. Maintain a live calendar of upcoming events, ensuring timely preparations. Collect and analyze post-event feedback to continuously improve future campaigns.

What We're Looking For



We're after a confident and proactive communicator with a proven track record in business development, sales, or account management--preferably within events, venues, or promotional campaigns. You'll be highly organised, results-driven, and able to balance day-to-day operations with strategic thinking.

Key Skills & Experience:



Experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or venue sourcing Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and timelines Comfortable working to and exceeding targets Passionate about events, marketing, and branded experiences
