Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth in the South West of England through developing and implementing strategic sales plans. Responsibilities:

Achieve/exceed agreed targets for new business and key metrics in allocated region and ensure any leads that are outside of own geographical area/remit are passed to a relevant colleague in a timely manner. Follow appropriate processes, controls and systems and where appropriate make suggestions to improve and help to embed change positively to ensure we are operating at maximum performance and efficiency. Conduct initial due diligence on proposals including a financial review of the credit worthiness of applicants and ensure all proposals are commercially sound and accurate before submission to Credit Department. Provide effective due diligence, post approval and post completion support communicating completion dates to all relevant parties in a timely manner and effectively managing expectations/processes internally and externally with the dealership. Regularly update accurate records of dealer and stocking communications and data in relevant tools and systems (Salesforce) in line with company procedures and provide timely data/reports relating to dealer/stocking finance BD activity (development appraisals, probability of default models, submissions to credit, issuing indicative terms, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner. Build and maintain positive working relationships across the business particularly with credit underwriting, portfolio management teams, audit, etc. Assess market conditions, trends, and competitors to ensure the department/business is proactively incorporating relevant changes and working in line with best practice. Maintain a strong understanding of LE Capital products, regulatory practices and procedures, service standards, processing, and systems. Contribute to company success through the consistent achievement of individual and team targets operating behaviourally in line with our company values and our objectives for our customers, our colleagues, and our company. Any other reasonable ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:

A solid track record performing in business development roles within dealer/stocking finance environment, a good working knowledge of finance agreements would be preferred but not essential. Proven relationship building skills with an existing network of contacts and existing relationships within dealerships. An established track record in structuring, pricing and originating deals. Full training can be given. Able to build rapport and establish solid partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes for LE Capital and new clients and deliver against key objectives. The ability to manage effectively multiple deal flows and work within deadlines.
