Job description
As a new Business Development Manager, your prime responsibility will be to target prospective customers, nurture and close opportunities across all sectors.
More specifically, you will seek out, identify and establish relationships with new prospects. You will then work with colleagues to sell directly to end users by delivering compelling demonstrations of our powerful product suite.

Business Development Manager Job Duties:
- Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, and new partnerships.
- Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.
- Building relationships with new prospective clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs.
- Pitching Text Global's digital marketing & communication services.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Attending conferences, exhibitions and events to build relationships with industry partners and network to obtain new leads. Typically we exhibit at 10-15 shows per annum across the UK, including Chester, Manchester, Birmingham and London.
- Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them.
- Possessing a strong understanding of the company's products, the competition in the industry and positioning.
- Use our in-house CRM to track leads, opportunities and converted clients along the lead nurture process.
- Use a wide range of prospecting techniques to engage with prospects including, automated email sequences, outbound calls, online teams calls/product demonstrations and face-to-face meetings.
Qualifications
The right candidate will have at least a basic level GCSE grade A-C in English, Maths and Science.
Higher education qualifications include A Level, Foundation Degree, Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma or Bachelors Degree.
Salary
32,000 - 40,000 (OTE up to 52,000+ uncapped commissions)
The salary awarded is dependent on qualifications, skillsets and previous experience.
Personal KPIs, commissions and company annual bonuses could see earnings up to 52,000+ per annum.
Working hours and location
Working hours are usually 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Although the client-focused nature of the work means you may have to work outside of regular working hours to close opportunities and win new business.
Our office is located at the Chowley Oak Business Park, just outside of Tattenhall and part of the Bolesworth Estate. Prestigious office space in the rural Cheshire countryside. 5 minutes away from the Carden Park Golf & Spa resort (with excellent gym facilities). And only 1 short 15-minute drive from Chester city centre.
What to expect
You will mostly be working from the office, but on occasion working from home.
Working to sales targets can be challenging, although the financial rewards can be good for those who enjoy this type of work.
