Role Overview

As Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in expanding SHABRA's market reach across the island of Ireland, identifying new commercial opportunities, and driving sustainable growth. You will work closely with the Sales Manager and the Group Commercial Director to convert strategic leads into long-term partnerships, champion SHABRA's recycled product portfolio, and support the company's mission to lead in circular economy innovation.

Key Responsibilities



Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors including Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), agriculture, catering, and industrial packaging. Develop tailored proposals and presentations that align client needs with SHABRA's sustainability solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery for new clients. Support the Sales Team, Sales Manager, and Group Commercial Director, in managing key accounts and nurturing long-term relationships. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic positioning and product development. Represent SHABRA at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events. Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline progress using CRM tools. Monitor and report on business development KPIs and revenue targets.

Required Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles. Proven success in B2B environments, ideally within manufacturing, recycling, packaging, or sustainability sectors. Strong understanding of circular economy principles and client engagement strategies. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Experience



Experience working with clients in FMCG, agriculture, catering, and industrial packaging. Familiarity with recycled materials, packaging regulations, or sustainability reporting. Proficiency in CRM platforms and data-driven sales strategies. Experience in public or private sector procurement processes is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
