Position: Business Development Manager
Reports to: Managing Director
Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This role will require availability for client visits, travel, and participation in network events.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager with proven sales expertise to drive growth within the Facilities Management or Cleaning industry. The successful candidate will have strong on-field sales experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial cleaning services sector.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Conduct on-field sales visits, presentations, and negotiations to close deals.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Collaborate with operations and service delivery teams to ensure client needs are met effectively.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform business strategy.
Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior management.
Requirements
Proven sales experience, preferably in an on-field business development role.
Strong customer service background with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.
Experience in leading and developing a sales team.
Previous exposure to the FM / Cleaning industry (desirable but not essential).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify business opportunities.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
