Diphex is a growing distributor of innovative chemical first aid solutions, working with clients across the pharmaceutical, chemical, food & drink, laboratory, and utilities sectors. Our mission is to improve safety and outcomes in chemical decontamination. We are now seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Development Representative to join our team in Harrietsham.

Position Summary



This full-time, office-based role is designed to support the Business Development team in their outreach and engagement activities. The successful candidate will play a central role in cold calling prospective clients. In addition they will have a role in supporting diary coordination, ensuring sales trackers are maintained accurately, and assisting with reporting. This is a non-commissioned role focused on enabling the wider sales function to operate effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities



Initiate outbound calls to prospective clients to introduce Diphex, qualify interest, and arrange meetings for Business Development Managers. Assist the Business Development team by coordinating and scheduling appointments, managing meeting requests, and supporting calendar planning to maximise productivity. Update and maintain the client relationship management (CRM) system, ensuring all records are accurate and reflect current activity, interactions, and next steps. Work alongside the National Business Development Manager to ensure sales trackers are kept up to date and assist in preparing reports for internal meetings and management reviews. Support internal communication across departments by ensuring follow-ups and handovers are actioned, particularly in relation to sales activity and pipeline progress.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a lead generation role is a must. Strong verbal and written communication skills and confidence in engaging with prospects over the phone and email. Excellent organisational abilities and a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook); experience with CRM systems is advantageous. A collaborative approach with a clear focus on supporting the wider team. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
