Business Finance Manager
to oversee and support our Billing, Credit Control, and Provider Ledger teams at
KIMS Hospital
- the largest independent hospital in Kent.
In this vital role, you'll manage and develop a team of 11, responsible for revenue accuracy, invoicing, and provider payments - all while ensuring a positive and professional experience for patients and stakeholders alike. What You'll Be Doing:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the Billing, Credit Control, and Provider Ledger teams, setting the standard for professional behaviour and collaboration.
Oversee billing accuracy and ensure all patient charges align with contracted prices.
Maintain up-to-date records of Private Medical Insurance (PMI) contracts in our systems, working closely with the Commercial team.
Manage month-end reporting, pre-authorisation checks, invoice compliance, and Work in Progress targets.
Handle escalated queries from patients or internal teams with empathy and efficiency.
Collaborate with departments across the hospital to streamline revenue processes.
Monitor provider payments and ensure timely and accurate consultant remittances.
Continuously review, enhance, and standardise procedures across all sites for improved performance and control.
What You'll Bring:
Proven experience leading and managing teams, ideally within a billing or finance function.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills - able to build trust with teams and stakeholders alike.
Exceptional organisational abilities, with the confidence to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A drive for continuous improvement, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Education to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Experience in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
